Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is one of the
leading supporters of the Lisa Kampner Hebrew Academy
because he understands the vital role the school plays
in ensuring the survival of the Jewish Community in the
San Francisco Bay Area. On six separate occasions during
the last twenty years, Mr. Netanyahu has come to the aid
of the school, delivering keynote addresses at the
groundbreaking for the new school building, at
International Conferences on Jewish Medical Ethics
sponsored by the Lisa Kampner Hebrew Academy, and at
school fund-raising banquets. Upon his arrival in San
Francisco to address the General Assembly of the Jewish
Federations of North America, Mr. Netanyahu instructed
the consul general, who met him at the airport, to take
him first to the Lisa Kampner Hebrew Academy, where, he
said, Israel is, before proceeding to the General
Assembly.
