One of the leading Constitutional lawyers in the United
States, Nathan Lewin is also highly regarded as a
catalyst for the promotion of Jewish education in
Washington D.C. As president of the Jewish Community
Federation of Washington and the chairman of its
education committee during the 1960s, Mr. Lewin hired
Rabbi Pinchas Lipner to start up and head the Yeshiva of
Greater Washington, which is still in existence today.
